About Shih Legal
Making the leap from a familiar past to an uncertain future can feel overwhelming—both emotionally and legally. That’s where I come in! I’m Mei (pronounced may), a family law, guardianship, and estate planning attorney. Think of me as your guide and advisor, here to help you navigate the twists and turns with a mix of legal know-how and a coaching touch. My goal? To create a supportive, educational space where you feel empowered and informed every step of the way. Together, we’ll tackle the legal stuff and make sure you’re ready for whatever comes next!
About Mei Shih
Growing up as a “language broker” for my non-English-speaking parents taught me the art of patience, the value of empathy, and the magic of clear communication. These skills now play a starring role in my legal practice, where I help clients untangle the sometimes intimidating world of family law. Whether it’s breaking down legal jargon or navigating complex statutes, I’m here to bring clarity and confidence to the process.
When life takes a complicated turn—like dissolving a long-term relationship or filing a parentage action—you don’t have to face it alone. My mission is to make the legal process feel approachable and understandable, guiding clients with compassion and expertise every step of the way.
With over 14 years of experience as a practicing attorney, I know that family law isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why my practice includes non-litigated traditional representation, collaborative divorces and unbundled services tailored to meet your unique needs.
I believe in giving clients more than just what they want to hear. Drawing on my courtroom experience and over 14 years of legal practice, I provide thoughtful perspectives, helping you make informed decisions with confidence. At the heart of it all, my goal is to ensure you feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout your legal journey.
